In March 2003, in Issue 15, we did an article about a family of Stentifords who made the long journey from Buckfastleigh to Australia in the 1850s. Three years have since passed, then in the space of just a few weeks, we received an amazing amount of information from different branches of this family. Everyone agreed to the publication of their findings and so we are able to piece together a story well worth the telling.

To save readers having to go to and fro between Issues, we'll begin by reprinting enough of the original article to enable readers to catch up with the story so far, beginning with the principal actors:
